TDS Rates and Due Dates for FY 2024-25
Here are the key due dates for TDS return filing and payment in India:
TDS return filing: The due date for filing quarterly TDS returns is as follows:
Quarter 1 (April-June): July 31
Quarter 2 (July-September): October 31
Quarter 3 (October-December): January 31
Quarter 4 (January-March): May 31
TDS payment: The due date for depositing TDS with the government is:
For non-government deductors: Within 7 days from the end of the month in which tax is deducted at source
For government deductors: Same day when TDS is deducted
Late filing fees: If TDS return is filed after the due date, a late filing fee of Rs 200 per day is applicable. The maximum penalty is the TDS amount.
Interest on late payment: If TDS is paid late, interest at 1.5% per month is levied on the TDS amount.
