#3: Starting Your Own Business
Want to know the number one thing people complain about in their 9 to 5 jobs? Their boss and annoying co-workers. And if you’re in that situation, one possible solution that will allow you to avoid that hell for good is starting your own business.
Yes, starting your own business does come with challenges. But I hate to break it to you, everything comes with challenges. The benefit of striking it out on your own is at least you won’t have to deal with an incompetent boss who makes you attend soul-sucking meetings that could’ve been an email.
And while there are some complexities that come with starting your own business, you need to keep a few things in mind. First off, you don’t have to start the next Apple or Amazon to reap the rewards of entrepreneurship. There are countless one-person businesses you can start where you’ll be the sole employee, the chief decision-maker, and the boss.
Additionally, starting your own business frees you from the shackles of being location dependent. Meaning if you want to go remote, you can get into freelancing, consulting, and simple e-commerce businesses. If you really think about it, the possibilities are endless.
