Income Tax Department raids at 6 Locations in Gurugram including Geeken Furniture
The Income Tax Department raided Geeken Furniture Manufacturing Company’s plant and owner’s home. This raid has been running nonstop for more than 36 hours. This raid has caused quite a stir around Gurugram.
According to Income Tax Department authorities, this raid is being carried out in more than 12 locations throughout Delhi, Mumbai, and Chandigarh, in addition to Gurugram.
Officials stated that the Income Tax Department had received information that the firm manufactures furniture and sells it in several locations around the country. Some of the company’s transactions are alleged to be suspicious.
It has also been found that the majority of the company’s transactions were done in cash. The team raided based on this information. The department’s squad has been camped out at five local industries, including IMT Sector-5 and 6 in Manesar, since 11 a.m. on Friday.
The team is inspecting each and every document, as well as the transaction data. At the same time, the team is looking for the proprietor of Geeken Company in Magnolias Society.
During this time, no local level administrative authorities are allowed to enter the enterprise or dwelling, and no information is provided. According to income tax officials, information will be released only when the investigation is concluded.
